Gateway into the Community
The services aim is to enable people of all ages with learning disabilities to access learning and leisure opportunities within their own communities.  Their vision is :- To enable people with learning disabilities to: Develop their self esteem, sense of value and purpose; Become who they are - independant and able to make their own choices - beyond and outside the project; Effect a change of attitude in the wider community as a consequence of the above.
Tynedale Women's Training Group
Offers women in Rural Tynedale the oportunity to access information, training, advice and support.  They have qualified Creche workers and personal support workers. Services Free of Charge

Chojinkai Karate club

Training days: Tuesday and Thursday

Training Times: 7pm till 9pm. (7pm -8pm is most suitable for beginners initially)

Age Range: Students are accepted from age 7 upwards. There is no upper limit.

Cost: Children £3 per lesson, Adults £3.50 per lesson. (Discounts are available when more than one member of a family train together.)

What to wear: You should wear loose fitting comfortable clothing which will allow you to stretch freely.

First lesson is free so why not come along and try it.
